Puzzle Almanac
Effective date: September 12, 2026
Overview
Puzzle Almanac is a puzzle game. It has no accounts, no ads and no advertising trackers. Your puzzle history, streaks and settings stay on your device. The few services the app talks to are listed below, together with what they receive.
What stays on your device
- Puzzle results, streaks, best times and the daily archive progress (stored in the app's local database)
- Settings, including the optional daily reminder and its time
- Whether you have Unlimited access (a local copy of your App Store entitlement)
- The streak and today's status shown by the home-screen widget (shared with the widget through an app group on the same device)
Deleting the app deletes this data. Nothing above is uploaded by Puzzle Almanac.
Services the app uses
Anonymous usage analytics (TelemetryDeck). To learn which features are used, Puzzle Almanac sends anonymous signals such as "daily puzzle completed", the difficulty played, or "paywall shown". TelemetryDeck receives a salted, one-way hash of a device identifier, the app version, the OS version, the device model, the device locale and a per-launch session identifier. It does not receive your name, email, contacts, location, advertising identifier or the content of anything you type. TelemetryDeck is a privacy-focused service based in Germany; see https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
Game Center (Apple). If you are signed in to Game Center, your daily times, best times and streak are submitted to Apple's leaderboards under your Game Center player ID, and the app reads your rank back. Apple's privacy policy applies. If you are not signed in, nothing is submitted.
Purchases (Apple App Store). Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed entirely by the App Store. Puzzle Almanac never sees your payment details; it only learns whether an entitlement is active.
Update check (Apple). Once a day the app asks Apple's public App Store lookup whether a newer version exists. The request contains the app's bundle identifier only.
Feedback (Featurebase). The "Send Feedback" button opens https://logicdaily.featurebase.app/ in your browser. Anything you post there is governed by Featurebase's privacy policy.
Local notifications. The optional daily reminder is scheduled on your device by iOS. No notification data leaves the device.
The website
The daily puzzle at https://puzzlealmanac.com keeps your streak and today's result in your browser's local storage only; nothing is sent to Puzzle Almanac. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which handles requests under Cloudflare's privacy policy (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/). It sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts.
What Puzzle Almanac does not do
- No account, sign-up or email address
- No advertising, no ad networks, no cross-app tracking, no use of the advertising identifier
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access
- No selling or sharing of personal data
Children
Puzzle Almanac is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address with a new effective date.
